NKR presidential candidate Arkady Soghomonyan was excited more than ever when casting his ballot at a polling station today: besides running for president, he is also anticipating the birth of his grandchild, Radio Liberty reported.

Mr. Soghomonyan said that even if he loses the election, he will continue his political fight.

“I will always be a pro-government figure. It is unacceptable when a person joins the opposition immediately after losing election or when a person goes over to coalition after getting a state position. I hold oppositional views in issues that need to be improved or corrected, at the same time I support anything that concerns strengthening of our statehood,” Arkady Soghomonyan told reporters after casting his ballot at a polling station in Stepanakert, the source said.
