Artist's life passive in Armenia
The best evaluation for an artist is public’s opinion. Those art pieces should be presented in different exhibitions both in artist’s native country and abroad. Evaluations encouraging artists are most often heard in the native country, but the artists wish to present their masterpieces abroad as well and Armenian artists long that also.
World knows Armenian art and culture which have a history coming from longer centuries. Today it’s not well introduced to the world because of insufficient 
measures and lack of people making that campaign. That “heavy burden” is put on private artists’ shoulders who try hard to attend different exhibitions abroad.
Personal exhibitions in
Those successes belong to only one artist – to Marie Adamyan.
Marie Adamyan graduated from Yerevan State University of Architecture and Construction in 1998. Since 2002 she has been working as a silk painter and studies at “Democracy today” NGO to “Zatik” orphanage teenagers. Since 2003 Marie has been attending different State and International exhibitions and contests. Since 2005 Adamyan is a member of Armenian Painters’ 
international organizations.
The artist gave interview to Panorama.am.
- Why have you started painting?
-I’m painting almost all my life. I started painting on silk 8 years ago…I like it when the colors are clear and light. I want to leave the boundaries of decorative and applied forms and to paint on silk.
- What do you think is your style and why?
- One of my Russian colleagues says: “I paint a humanitarian and charitable painting.” I mean, I hope, my paintings express only positive emotions and feelings. There’s much of evil in the world…
- Do you have any secrets in your professional career? If no, what special plans do you have for the future?
- I don’t have any secrets but I also don’t like making plans, because I’m a fatalist… I’d like traveling a lot, let’s say under pretence of exhibitions. I had three personal exhibitions in
-What do you think on what level is the modern painting in
-I admit that the modern art couldn’t have some other image for me…it’s chaotic and sometimes hard to understand. In order it performs itself in the 21st century it should be performed through a show. I think we don’t have a school of modern art. The world is big and very interesting and there’re always things to learn and see.
-Who from the modern painters do you like?
-To tell the truth I like the Impressionists, I am also very much fond of modern art-nouveau direction (Alfonse Mukha, Macintosh, Gustavo Climt, Tuluz Lotreck, etc) which was founded in the end of 19th century. I like art nouveau as natural ornaments are applied decoratively, straight lines are rejected here and more natural images are shown, which I use in my silk works. And I also like Eghiazaryan Felix’s paintings.
- What could you tell us regarding the state attitude towards the artists?
-Well, it’s a little bit difficult for me to answer that question as I haven’t ever witnessed any attitude neither a positive one nor a negative.
- Are the young artists supported anyhow?
- I haven’t noticed any support t to young artists neither from the Painters’
