Turkey explains why just “Golden Apricot”

The Malatya International Film Festival (MUFF) administration issued a statement saying they are concerned that the administration of Armenia’s Golden Apricot film festival is set to sue them for festival name copyright infringement, Habertürk news agency reported.

The statement, particularly, said: “70 percent apricot supply to global market is provided by Malatya, thus institution of “Golden Apricot” award is normal. Besides, the festival is called “Malatya International Film Festival” and “Golden Apricot” is merely the name of an award set for the festival.”
