Alexander Iskandaryan: Armenian community directly affected by Syria crisis

Strained political situation in Syria can result in a big humanitarian crisis in the proper sense of the word, Director of Caucasus Institute, political scientist Alexander Iskandaryan said at a Yerevan-Moscow space bridge.

According to him, Libya was just divided into three parts after the civil war. However, Syria may be split into cities, communities, and even streets.

The most important thing is whether the new government will be able to control developments in the country after Assad steps down, the expert stressed.
