Greece to receive EU financial support

Greece looks set to receive support from eurozone countries to help solve its financial crisis, according to BBC. It is thought a deal could be reached in Brussels as early as Monday, with Germany and France the primary nations to provide loans and guarantees.

US government recorded budget deficit

  The US government recorded a budget deficit of $221bn in February - the largest monthly deficit in its history. The figure was disclosed by the Treasury Wednesday in its monthly update on the government’s finances.. Last month’s deficit was up 14% from the $193.8-billion gap in February 2009. There was some relative good news in the report: Total taxes and other revenue were up 23% from a year earlier, a bigger percentage increase than the 17% rise in outlays.

First loan agreement on Yerevan Metro Rehabilitation Project signed
