Man shot at Ukrainian consulate in Turkey

A Turkish man armed with a gun and suspected of carrying a bomb made an attack on the Ukrainian consulate in the region of Bakırköy, Turkey, Sabah reported. The man tried entering the consulate and began firing randomly. The man was wounded in the gunbattle after he tried to resist the security guards. The wounded man was taken to hospital. There were no other casualties.

Moscow “Opera” club in fire: Casualties reported

Three-storey Opera night club in downtown Moscow caught in fire in the morning. Local emergency service spokesman said t he flames have consumed over 1,200 sq. meters of the building. Azerbaijani soldier commits suicide due to brutalities in military unit

Soldier of the Azerbaijani Army Elchin Abdulazimov committed suicide in Geranboy military unit of the Defense Ministry, Vesti.az reports citing defense ministry sources. The soldier’s uncle Mehdi Atashev said his nephew committed suicide due to the unhealthy atmosphere in the military unit, according to ANS PRESS. Atashev also said Abdulazimov underwent continual brutalities by officers and sergeants.

A group of Turkish military arrested on charge of coup

On February 22 the group of high-ranking military was arrested in Turkey   on the charge of the coup, foreign media reports. Three faculty members were killed and three other school employees were wounded Friday in a shooting at the University of Alabama in Huntsville, a school spokesman said. Turkish PM Erdogan's nephew arrested over drug-smuggling

Turkey’s police received information over 50kg cocaine being smuggled from Diyarbakir to Istanbul. 12 people have been detained over drug smuggling, including Recep Tayyip Erdogan's nephew Mehmet Erdogan and two women, Vatan reported. Five of them have been released, while seven others including Mehmet Erdogan were arrested.
