Processes on Bagramyan Avenue in Yerevan should stay within the law. A meeting at Armenian police office
Director General of the Council of Europe for Political Consultations Alexander Gessel expressed hope that the ongoing processes on Bagramyan Avenue in Yerevan will stay within the law. He made that statement at a meeting with First Deputy Chief of Armenian Police Lt Gen Hunan Poghosyan yesterday, on July 2, according to the police press service.
The delegation led by Alexander Gessel inquired about the latest events in Yerevan and the situation on Bagramyan Avenue of the city.
Hunan Poghosyan provided detailed information about the developments and the Armenian police actions to ensure public order at the rallies.
Alexander Gessel expressed satisfaction with the fact the situation is under control.
As reported, on July 1 the Armenian police issued a statement calling on the rally organizers and participants to show common sense, respect the Constitution, laws, rights and legitimate interests of others, and voluntarily unblock Bagramyan Avenue in central Yerevan.
