Armenian Defense Minister has signed an executive order appointing Artsrun Hovhannisyan as Defense Ministry spokesman, ministerial press service said.

Artsrun Hovhannisyan was born in 1980 in the village of Tsoghamarg, Shirak region. He began his career in the Armed Forces of Armenia in 1997. He graduated from Vazgen Sargsyan Military Institute of Armenian Defense Ministry in 2001 and received Master’s degree in History at the International Scientific-Educational Center of the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia in 2012. Hovhannisyan has written dozens of science articles and monographs. He is married and has two children.
