Armenia’s Defense Minister meets participants of Munich Young Leaders Forum
Within the 53rd Munich Security Conference (MSC) Defense Minister of Armenia Vigen Sargsyan on February 17 held a meeting with the participants of the Munich Young Leaders Forum.
As the Information and Public Relations Department of Armenia’s Defense Ministry told Panorama.am, Vigen Sargsyan delivered a speech covering such topics as the defence system of Armenia, the regional developments, as well as the Nagorno Karabakh conflict. Afterwards, Minister Sargsyan replied to the questions of the attendees of the meeting.
Munich Security Conference is an annual event. It has been held since 1962. This year more than 500 participants from dozens of countries, namely heads of states, defence and foreign ministers and media representatives are taking part in the activities of the conference.
This year the situation in the Middle East, the risks emerged from the actions of North Korea and a number of other global challenges are at the centre of discussion within MES 2017. The topic titled "The Future of the West: Fall or Return?” is also among the central topics of the conference.
