The employees of the Tigran Mets publishing house have a heavy workload in these days (ahead of Armenia’s Parliamentary elections). Upon the agreement signed between Armenia’s Central Electoral Commission (CEC) and the publishing house, they are to print 24 million 449 thousand 400 ballot papers in a short period.
“The equipment is modernized, the workers are professional, it is not for the first time the printing of the ballots are trusted to our publishing house,” the workers said.
Pursuant to Armenia’s Electoral Code, 10 days prior to the voting day, the CEC is provided with a certificate on the number of the registered voters for the printing of the ballot papers in accordance with electoral districts and polling stations. The sample of the ballot paper is set 10 days before the elections.
The printing process of the ballots began at 19:30, on March 23. Pursuant to the Electoral Code, the ballots are printed no earlier than 10 days and no late than 3 days before the voting day, i.e. the printing will be completed on March 30. On the same day, the ballots will be distributed per electoral districts.
“The observers, mass media representatives, proxies and the visitors can follow the printing process in the publishing house during the whole period of printing,” the CEC reports.
