U.S. begins to deploy troops along Syria-Turkey border
The United States has sent armored vehicles and troops to the North of Syria bordering Turkey, following the cross-border clashes between the Turkish military and YPG (Syrian wing of the Kurdistan Workers' Party or PKK).
Citing Hurriyet Turkish news agency, Ermenihaber reports that the U.S. military units intend to prevent the possible regular clashes between the Turkish and Kurdish forces. After the deployment of the U.S. forces, the Turkish Army accumulated new forces along its border with Syria.
