Air temperature to go down by 5-6 degrees on August 15-17
High temperature is predicted in the territory of Armenia on August 13-14, the Hydro-Meteorological Service of the RA Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) reported on Thursday. According to the source, in the daytime up to 38...39 degrees above zero and a high risk of fire is predicted in the valleys of Syunik, in Yerevan and Ararat Valley. The daily average air temperature will be 4-5 degrees higher than normal.
On August 13-14, no precipitation is predicted in the territory of the republic. On 15 mainly in northern regions, on 16-17 in most regions in the evening rain with thunderstorm is predicted. Southwest wind speed is 3-8 m/s. During thunderstorm, the wind speed may exceed up to 17-22 m/s.
On 12-14 the air temperature will not change considerably and on 15-17 it will go down by 5-6 degrees.
In capital city Yerevan, no precipitation is predicted on August 13-14. In the evening of 15-17 rain with
thunderstorm is predicted. During thunderstorm, the wind speed may exceed up to 15-20 m/s, the source said.
