IMPOSSIBLE TO HINDER A PROCESS THAT DOES NOT EXIST

“We welcome that the foreign relations commission of U.S. Congress has adopted such a decision. It is a step towards justice,” Vladimir Karapetyan, information and press department head of the ministry of foreign affairs told Panorama.am in relation to the adoption of Resolution 106 at the foreign relations commission of U.S. Congress.

Asked what impact will that have on further pace of Armenian-American, Armenian-Turkish and Turkish-American relations, Vladimir Karapetyan informed that the ministry of foreign affairs cannot make commentaries on the relations of a third country.

During yesterday’s discussions, congressmen with pro-Turkish dispositions asserted that the adoption of the document will hinder the process of Armenian-Turkish reconciliation. What does official Yerevan think in this regard? “Do you see a process of reconciliation?” Vladimir Karapetyan said meaning that the process of reconciliation does not exist as such.
