PACE MONITORING COMMISSION TO HEAR REPORT ON ARMENIA
The Parliamentary Assembly of Council of Europe (PACE) will hear a report on the implementation of PACE resolutions 1609 and 1620 by Armenia today in Paris. The members of the Commission are going to discuss the functioning of democratic institutes in Armenia and much will depend on the Commissioner of Human Rights Thomas Hammarberg’s report. The Commissioner should have to prepare his report after his previous visit to Armenia.
Remind that Thomas Hammarberg visited Armenia on November 20-23 and announced that he was concerned with the investigation process of March events. “I am going to prepare my report and, I’m afraid, I’m going to express by concern on the lack of developments,” said Mr. Hammarberg.
