Armenian President: Armenia-Diaspora ties cannot be broken

Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan's meeting with regard to the current stage of normalization of Armenia-Turkish relations with over 250 representatives of Russia's Armenian community in Doni Rostov October 7 marked the end of president's Pan-Armenian tour. As the President's press office reported, delegation chaired by the President returned to Yerevan on the same day.

Addressing the Armenian community representatives, President said: ''This is my Pan-Armenian tour final stop. We have come here with rich impressions we received during the meetings with the Armenian representatives in Europe, America and the Middle East. Everywhere I met our compatriots living with nostalgia to our fatherland, also among those who condemn me.''

The President said he urged everywhere to multiple the efforts to support Armenia both politically and economically and to strengthen the efforts towards the international recognition and condemnation of the Armenian Genocide.

''There is not a single Armenian in the world to have a second view over the fact of the Genocide or Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. Such unity can work wonders and however the Turkish authorities try to represent the interested attitude of our compatriots as a forcing attempt, they are to face failure. Armenia-Diaspora ties cannot be broken,'' President highlighted.
