Ambassador invites Italian President Giorgio Napolitano to visit Armenia on behalf of President Serzh Sargsyan
According to MFA PR department, Armenia’s Ambassador to Italy Ruben Karapetyan handed over his credentials to President Napolitano October 23.
During the talk following the handing ceremony, Italy’s President noted Armenia is an important partner for Italy and the Armenian-Italian relations have thousands of years of history. Ambassador Karapetyan highlighted the Armenian party’s readiness to further promote the Armenian-Italian relations.
At President Napolitano’s request, Ambassador introduced the recent developments over the Armenian-Turkish normalization and Karabakh conflict negotiating process.
Wishing the Armenian Ambassador further success, Italian President voiced hope he will have a contribution in reinforcing the Armenian-Italian ties.
