Armenia’s Finance Minister Tigran Davtyan, Economy Minister Nerses Yeritsyan, the head of the government’s staff Davit Sargsyan, a number of deputy ministers have submitted applications yesterday to integrate as Republican Party members, the party’s spokesman Eduard Sharmazanov told Panorama.am.

“They will be Republicans prior to the congress,” Sharmazanov said referring to the ARP Congress due November 28.

“They are our political team members and it’s the party that authorized them in their positions. Second, each political figure determines their future themselves. There has been no compulsion,” Sharmazanov said as asked whether the officials were forced into ARP membership.
