French Armenian Robert Gedikian says internationalism of WW II is gone

“I am for the opening of the borders. I am also serious with what we experienced in the past, the recognition of Genocide. I think, the opening of Armenian-Turkish border will contribute to the recognition of Armenian Genocide,” French Armenian film maker Robert Gedikian told the reporters answering to the request whether it’s not by chance that “Army of crime” film, which première is scheduled on 29 November, coincides with ongoing processes aiming to normalize Armenian-Turkish ties. The director reminds that it was in November 29, 1921 that Armenia was declared Soviet Union state. Note that the main ideology of the film is the struggle amongst the nations. ”It’s possible to make films about our days’ conflicts. We could shoot examples from history which are connected with nowadays. I think, the idea of internationalism and good relations ruling during World War II is difficult to find today,” he said.
