Armenian President due to meet with Queen Elizabeth II in London

Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan is due to leave for the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland February 9 on a three-day working visit. The delegation comprises His Holiness Garegin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian and the Mayor of Yerevan, Gagik Beglaryan, President’s press office reported. Within the framework of the working visit President Sargsyan will have meetings with Queen Elisabeth II, Foreign Minister David Miliband and Prince Charles in the Buckingham Palace. President Sargsyan will attend the opening of the “Yerevan – my love” project initiated by Prince Charles and ex-Prime Minister of Armenia Armen Sargsyan at Windsor Palace. On February 10 Serzh Sargsyan is due to make a speech at the Royal Institute of International Affairs in London. President Sargsyan will touch upon regional security issues, the current stage of Armenian-Turkish normalization process and the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict settlement talks. At the Tate Modern: museum of international modern art, President Sargsyan will attend the opening ceremony of the exhibition dedicated to the life and art heritage of renowned American-Armenian artist Arshile Gorky. The President of the Republic of Armenia will have an interview with the Al Jazeera TV.
