Sabah: Turkey to adopt populist foreign policy making strategy

The consequences of Turkish foreign policy are far from being successful, even more they are upsetting, Turkish Sabah writes. Omer Tashpinar writes that Cypriot and Armenian issues have not been resolved they have even worsened as new and deeper gaps have occurred in Turkey-West ties.

“Cyprus issue has become a component part in EU negotiations and Armenian issue with US ties. Armenian issue is getting more and more dangerous,” the reporter writes.
The reporter is critical to those facts and states that in response to the adoption of Armenian protocols, Turkey calls its Ambassadors back, Erdogan delays his visit to Sweden.
It’s stated that due to Turkish improvident policy the state is almost isolated from the West and isn’t guaranteed from facing deeper crisis.
“The steps done by the Turkish authorities remind of a populist foreign policy. A government which feels confident with itself should be as much afraid and should make so many mistakes. The normalization of Armenian-Turkish ties which they link with the NKR issue is also explained by this,” Turkish reporter writes.
