Hurriyet: Erdogan may not travel to US April 12
Turkish PM Recep Tayyip Erdogan had a briefing with reporters at the airport, before he left for London, Hurriyet informs. Referring to whether he is planning a visit to the US to attend the Nuclear Security Summit April 12, Erdogan said:
“I was asked the same following the Government sitting. Deputy PM Cemil Chichek replied as appropriate. The answer is the same. We don’t have a scheduled visit to the US. We have a US invitation. These are common invitations, actually, and we have not scheduled them.”
Hurriyet says the answer may imply on Turkey’s PM’s intention of not visiting Washington.
Panorama.am recalls that Erdogan has left for London today to attend the Turkish-English business forum. The delegation chaired by the PM includes Deputy PM Cemil Chichek, FM Ahmet Davutoglu, State Minister Zafer Chaglayan, Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Egemen Bagis.
