Bill on Armenian Genocide brought to French Senate agenda

Bill on the Armenian Genocide has been brought to the agenda of French Senate. Once endorsed, the bill envisages 5 years’ sentence and a fine of 45 thousand euros for anyone rejecting the historical fact of the Armenian Genocide, DoganHaber reported.

The bill was submitted to the agenda of the French National Assembly upon the offer of Fance’s Socialist Party October 12, 2006 and was sent to the Senate after it was approved by 110 MPs. However, the Senate didn’t bring the bill to the agenda till now, taking into account French-Turkish relations.
