Political scientist proposes submitting resolution to UN

The resolution submitted to UN by Azerbaijan and similar resolutions have no legal value, they are merely advisory, political scientist Alexander Manasyan told a press conference.

According to him, Azerbaijan is consistently forming a package of resolutions adopted by international organizations.

Manasyan believes that Armenia should submit a draft resolution to the UN General Assembly.

“I am convinced we will be able to do it as we have all necessary materials. And the resolutions we will submit to UN will be acceptable for everybody.”

The political scientist proposed submitting a draft resolution that the parties should vacate the territories not belonging to them from point of view of international law. “Not Armenians but Azerbaijanis have occupied territories from point of view of international law. Nakhichevan does not belong to Azerbaijan according to the Treaty of Kars,” Manasyan said adding that UN is likely to adopt that resolution.
