Armenian Ambassador to the Republic of Iraq Murad Muradyan handed the copies of his credentials to Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshiar Zebari.

According to MFA press and information department, after the official ceremony the diplomats had a discussion.

Iraqi FM congratulated Armenian Ambassador and hailed Armenia’s decision to found an Embassy in Iraq. He said Iraq would take appropriate measures to open an Embassy in Yerevan as well.

Iraqi Foreign Minister expressed hope that Armenian Ambassador would do his best to reinforce Armenian-Iraqi ties.
