“This was Turkey’s, particularly, Abdullah Gul’s ordinary statement to blind the international community,” referring to Turkish President’s statements, speaker of Republican Party Edward Sharmazanov told Panorama.am.

Turkish President Abdullah Gul said Thursday that his country is firmly committed to pushing on with normalizing ties with Armenia after nearly a century of bitterness over World War I-era massacres. "It is evident that these subjects are not easily resolved," Gul said.

“I think it would be better if Turkey’s President encouraged the National Assembly of his country to ratify the Armenian-Turkish protocols, instead of making tricky statements.

The international community witnessed all the process and Serzh Sargsyan’s role in it. President of Armenia appeared as regional leader and international community’s assessment wasn’t by chance,” Republican Speaker said.
