“It is my third visit to Armenia which testifies to reinforcement of relations between our countries, focusing not only on regional security issues but also on bilateral relations,” Deputy Secretary of State James Steinberg said in his interview with one of Armenian TV channels.

He has also added that the bilateral agenda includes comprehensive issues – democratic development, economic capabilities, energy security, as well as regional cooperation.

Regarding the negotiations within the OSCE Minsk Group, J. Steinberg, particularly, said: “Successful efforts of diplomatic settlement of the [Nagorno Karabakh] problem are beneficial to all concerned,” and Azerbaijan’s constant bellicose statements and border incidents cause strong anxiety.
