Georgian FM: I have come to Armenia to organize Armenian President’s visit to Georgia

Georgian Foreign Minister Grigol Vashadze today has refuted the rumors about cancellation of Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan’s visit to Tbilisi.

“I am here to organize the Armenian President’s visit,” Vashadze told Radio Liberty after his meeting with Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian.

The Georgian FM noted that the date of the visit will be announced later.

Earlier Georgian media reported that Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan is offended by Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili for the latter’s comments on the landslide on Armenian-Georgian highway. The Georgian President had said that the Armenian services were operating too slowly.

Georgian President’s spokesperson Manana Manjgaladze told a press briefing earlier that Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan will pay a three-day visit to Georgia in early November. Later MFA spokesperson Tigran Balayan said that the Armenian President is not scheduled to make any foreign trip in early November.
