E. Nalbandian: If Turkey committed to help, it should keep far away

If Turkey is sincerely committed to help this process, then it would be better to keep as far as possible, Armenian FM Edward Nalbandian said in an interview with Armenian TV channels.

Turkish FM Davutoglu declared that if France continued its activities in the Minsk Group, Turkey should also join it, as after the Senate decision France couldn’t remain impartial. Turkish FM underlined that Sarkozy had paid two-day visit to Armenia, while only a few hours to Azerbaijan.

Remarking on this observation, Nalbandian said: “I don’t think Davutoglu means exactly hours passed in Azerbaijan, maybe he’s more concerned about Sarkozy’s few hours passed in Turkey. Referring to deadlines, or similar kind of statements, particularly membership in NK conflict resolution format, we have already displayed our view point.”

“I would like to remind that in Sochi Presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan have stated that France, Russia and United State of America will continue their mediation in the same format until peace is established in the region,” E. Nalbandian said.
