A. Ghukasyan: Some forces in Azerbaijan could help us to achieve our goals
“The processes in the negotiations over the resolution of Karabakh conflict don’t offer real opportunities to resolve the issue of Armenian refugees,” Andreas Ghukasyan, advisor to Congress of refugees from Azerbaijan, said in a news conference. According to A. Ghukasyan the issue of Azerbaijani Armenians becomes the second pivotal element in the resolution of Karabakh conflict.
According to him the issue of refugees is involved in the negotiations, but its format used to be meant to resolve the conflict where the status of Nagorno-Karabakh was pivotal.
“The shortcoming is that the issue of Azerbaijani Armenians becomes a second element,” A. Ghukasyan said.
Referring to the transmigration of liberated areas the expert highlighted the need to found new cities in Armenia.
Asked if it is possible to launch dialogue between Armenian and Azerbaijani societies, A. Ghukasyan said it is possible if Azerbaijani people are deprived of administrative xenophobia.
“There are some forces in Azerbaijan that could help us to achieve our goals.”
