Political expert Sergey Shakaryants signified military and political aspects of liberation of Shoushi.

“Surviving the genocide of Getashen and Martunashen we are celebrating victory. Can you imagine how important it is for us, for the Diaspora to see that local Armenians can fight and can win,” S Shakaryants said.

Many forces in Russia and Europe supported Azerbaijan, said the expert adding that foreign troops had even been involved in the battles.

“The Turks supported Azerbaijan just from the very beginning, they fought in different positions,” underlined the expert.

S Shakaryants referred to Iran’s attempt to carry out peacekeeping mission, which was failed. Soon after the liberation of Shoushi it was stated: “Iran can no longer continue its mission, since the political situation has been changed. This is the first assessment given to the liberation of Shoushi,” said S Shakaryants.

Expert highlighted that the liberation of Shoushi has always been beneficial for Iran.
