Australian PM’s Special Envoy pays visit to Armenia

Armenian PM Tigran Sargsyan received today Special Envoy of the Prime Minister of Australia for Eastern Europe, the Balkans and the Caucasus Russell Trood.

“Armenia is interested in expansion of relations with Australia,” said Tigran Sargsyan.

Russell Trood conveyed the request of Australian government to support Australia’s candidacy for a UNSC seat for 2013-2014.

Tigran Sargsyan promised to discuss the issue and present Armenia’s stance before the vote.

The interlocutors attached importance to mutual assistance within international organizations as well as expansion of economic ties between the two countries and implementation of practical measures in this direction, government press service reported.
