Armenian National Congress refuses to meet with President Serzh Sargsyan
The opposition Armenian National Congress (ANC) parliamentary faction discussed today President Serzh Sargsyan’s proposal to hold a consultation on the candidacy of Armenia’s next Prime Minister, and made a decision to reject it.
“The Armenian National Congress does not see any sense in such a meeting. First of all, Armenia should hold free and fair presidential and parliamentary elections, which will enable to form – in the order prescribed by the Constitution – a government elected by and accountable to the people,” ANC said in a statement.
