ANC youth union renamed Youth Congress
The youth union of the opposition Armenian National Congress (ANC) party has been renamed Youth Congress.
At a convention held today in Yerevan, the Youth Congress adopted a resolution outlining the organization’s priorities: expansion of cooperation with youth in the region, active involvement in the media and social networks as well as in the social and political fields, organization of marches, demonstrations and forums.
Also, the organization plans to form, by September 30, rapid reaction groups to “fight crimes committed by local authorities.”
ANC parliamentary faction head Levon Zurabyan addressed the convention, stressing the role of ANC youth organization representatives in fighting crimes in the country.
