Expert on significance of California Senate resolution recognizing NKR’s independence
The California State Senate resolution recognizing Nagorno-Karabakh’s independence is of psychological and partly political significance, political scientist Alexander Iskandaryan told reporters on Tuesday.
“The resolution is of psychological and partly political nature, with the largest American Armenian community living in California,” Iskandaryan said.
The analyst called on not to overestimate the meaning of the resolution because it is not recognition of NKR’s independence by another state.
The recognition of Nagorno-Karabakh’s independence by the U.S. states cannot have legal effect, he stressed.
