Ruben Hakobyan proposes holding snap elections in 2016
Heritage Party will be ready to discuss the constitutional reforms only if the government accepts the proposals presented by the party, Heritage parliamentary faction head Ruben Hakobyan said at the forum on the constitutional reforms initiated by Heritage.
Hakobyan said that their proposals are related to three issues: amendment of the Electoral Code, adoption of a law giving supervisory powers to the opposition, and holding snap general elections following a constitutional referendum.
“Given the lack of time, we may propose holding the [snap] elections in 2016,” stated the politician.
