Serzh Sargsyan receives CSTO Secretary General
Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan received Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) Nikolay Bordyuzha, who has arrived in Armenia for a working visit, the presidential press service reported.
They discussed the preparation for the upcoming session of the CSTO Council of Collective Security. The implementation of the decisions made during the previous session was also addressed.
Nikolay Bordyuzha briefed President Sargsyan on the current activities of the CSTO, the results of cooperation with the organization, including development CSTO military component, CTSO joint staff’s activities, and security in the South Caucasus region.
In this context, the interlocutors discussed the downing of Nagorno-Karabakh Armed Forces’ helicopter by Azerbaijan and the situation following the incident. Nikolay Bordyuzha said that the session of the CSTO Council of Collective Security will address the incident.
