Liberalization of Armenia-EU visa regime possible – Latvian FM
Latvian Foreign Minister Edgars Rinkevics does not exclude the liberalization of the Armenia-EU visa regime. Latvia’s top diplomat reflected on the issue in an interview to the Russian Kommersant, Armenpress reports.
Among other things, Mr Rinkevics underscored: “We give all our partner countries an opportunity of visa liberalization. We have recorded a distinct progress in our ties with Armenia and Azerbaijan. We are talking about visa facilitation with Belarus, not liberalization, although the legal texts are not ready yet.”
“If Armenia and Azerbaijan express a desire and comply with all the standards, I do not see any obstacle for granting them such an opportunity. We already have visa free regime with Moldova,” Rinkevics noted.
