Important step was taken at Riga summit – expert
Europe will never close its doors to Armenia, political analyst Stepan Safaryan told reporters on Tuesday, adding that Armenia is a very important region for the EU.
“Currently, Europe is more interested in the enhancement of relations with Armenia than Armenia,” said the expert.
He noted that under the circumstances, it becomes obvious that Armenia has no other alternative but to maintain good relations with all power centers.
Referring to the Eastern Partnership summit in Riga, Safaryan said that an important step has been taken.
“Azerbaijan sought to get a document with not so good intentions. Riga, however, did not allow Azerbaijan to get a document which could justify its further military adventures. We will make sure of this in the future,” he stressed.
