Putin highly appreciates personal contribution of President Sargsyan to strengthening of Armenian-Russian ties
On the occasion of his birthday, Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan has received congratulations and best wishes from heads of state, representatives of international organizations, state and public sectors, and individuals, the presidential press service reports.
Russian President Vladimir Putin was among the heads of state who sent a congratulatory message to Serzh Sargsyan.
“During the years of your state activities, You have won well-deserved respect among compatriots and much authority in the international arena. I highly appreciate your personal contribution to the strengthening of friendly, allied ties between our countries.
I warmly recall Your recent visit to Moscow, during which we attended the events dedicated to the 70th anniversary of Victory in WWII. I will be glad to have new meetings and continue the constructive dialog and close joint work for the benefit of the fraternal peoples of Russia and Armenia.
I cordially wish you robust health, happiness, success and all the best,” V. Putin’s message says in particular.
Russian President Putin also had a phone conversation with President Sargsyan. He congratulated the Armenian president and conveyed his best wishes on the birthday.
The two presidents also touched upon issues related to the deepening of relations and the development of cooperation in all the spheres between the states – strategic allies.
