Deputy FM Shavarsh Kocharyan explains why Turkey did not recall its ambassador to Belgium
When asked by News.am why Turkey did not recall its ambassador to Belgium – a step Turkey had repeatedly taken before - after Belgium recognized the Armenian Genocide, Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Shavarsh Kocharyan said:
“Turkish authorities did not recall their ambassador to Belgium because they resigned themselves to reality that the Armenian Genocide recognition process is irreversible and they started to realize that the solution of the Genocide issue is moving from the capitals of the countries that have recognized that tragedy to Turkey’s capital”.
