Armenia, Kuwait develop inter-parliamentary ties
On September 18, the members of the Armenian National Assembly Armenia-Kuwait Friendship Group met with the members of the Kuwaiti Parliament, the Armenian parliament’s press service reported.
On behalf of the Armenia-Kuwait Friendship Group welcoming the guests’ visit to Armenia, Head of the friendship group Araik Hovhannisyan attached importance to the further development of bilateral relations. He noted that mutual visits would promote the expansion of inter-parliamentary ties between the two countries also in the future. According to Araik Hovhannisyan, at present a great potential for the advancement of economic and cultural ties is in place between the two states.
The member of Kuwaiti Parliament, Head of Delegation Faisal Fahd Al Shaya, thanking for the warm reception, also attached importance to the mutual visits, which are going to promote the development of inter-parliamentary ties and the expansion of cooperation in the international structures between the two states.
Both parties mentioned that there are wide opportunities for cooperation and investment in many fields. The interaction in agricultural, industrial, as well as educational and healthcare areas was highlighted within the framework of investments of mutual interest. The increase in goods turnover volumes between the two countries was underscored as well.
During the meeting, the members of the Armenia-Kuwait Friendship Group expressed gratitude to the Kuwaiti Government for the warm attitude towards the Armenian community, for the humanitarian help to the Syrian Armenian migrants, as well as for the financial help aimed at the construction works in N 1 Nursing House in Yerevan.
The parties also discussed other issues of mutual concern.
