Armenian President’s press service confirmed the report that President of the European Council Herman Van Rompuy will arrive in Armenia early next week, Haykakan Zhamanak reports.

The paper has revealed that on July 4 Van Rompuy will meet with Armenian parliamentary factions and will give a speech to parliament. Each faction will have the opportunity to ask him one question. The topic of his speech is not known yet. According to the paper, the format of the speech is notable and unprecedented for our country.

“It is noteworthy that Serzh Sargsyan was in Brussels on June 27 for a two-day working visit, where he met with EU leaders,” the paper writes.
