Iravunk: RPA doesn’t need PAP’s support

In his interview with Iravunk, Republican MP Hovhannes Sahakyan commented on PAP spokesman Tigran Urikhanyan’s statement that Prosperous Armenia Party will not back any representative of Republican Party in local self-government elections. Hovhannes Sahakyan said: “RPA and PAP are different political forces, and I can say on behalf of the Republican Party that we have our own decision-making mechanisms and principles. When we decide to back someone who represents this or that political team we don’t expect that our candidates will get support from another political team in return, especially as, I must say, we don’t have such problem, as a political force, we are guided by our own decisions, that is to say, the field is free, and every political team is free to decide which candidate to back.”
