Turkey's Davutoglu voices hope the US House Committee will not pass Armenian Genocide Resolution

Turkey’s FM Ahmet Davutoglu voiced hope the US House Foreign Relations Committee will not pass the Armenian Genocide Resolution at a meeting with reporters, CnnTurk says.

Referring to Ankara’s disposition in case the House Committee approves the Resolution, Davutoglu recalled the intensive efforts of the Turkish delegations in Washington over preventing the adoption and said:

“We expect the US Administration to send an appropriate “message”. But providing the House Committee passes the Resolution, we will have to continue efforts towards preventing the vote on the Resolution in the Congress. Hopefully, the Committee members will not make a mistake.”

Davutoglu once again reaffirmed that the adoption of the Resolution by the US legislative body will harm the Armenian-Turkish reconciliation process.
