Armenian village located in Turkey to condemn Erdogan’s statement

Turkish PM Tayip Erdogan’s statement on expelling Armenians having illegal status in Turkey has been critically interpreted by a single Armenian village of Vaqifly. Turkish Hurriyet reported that the head of the rural community Perch Qartun assessed Erdogan’s threatening statement unsuccessful and immoral.

It’s worth reminding that the village is the only Armenian village located at the foot of Mussa mount. Yet in 1915 there were about 100 Armenian villages. There is an Armenian church in that single Armenian village which is left without a priest. The local inhabitants speak three languages – Armenian, Turkish and Arabic.
