Medvedev rejects discussions on Russian base in Gyumri during his Baku trip

Dmitry Medvedev of Russia pays two-day working visit to Azerbaijan today. According to Russian “Vzgliad” paper the presidents of both countries plan to have panel discussions on bilateral and international issues, including the toughest issues – “conflict of Nagorno-Karabakh” and Iran nuclear project.  

It’s worth reminding that Nagorno-Karabakh marks its Independence Day.
“Ria Novosti” writes referring to its Kremlin sources Medvedev doesn’t plan any discussions on extension of Russian base in Gyumri.
Russian paper writes that the protocols signed between Armenia and Russia guarantee Armenia’s security.
It’s worth reminding that Russian President is accompanied during his Russian trip by President’s Assistant Sergey Prikhodko, Russian FM Sergey Lavrov, Minister of Energy, Governors of some regions, businessmen and Director of “Gazprom” Company Aleksey Miller.
