JURY SELECTS “MISS ARMENIA – 2007”

Late yesterday the winner of “Miss Armenia-2007” beauty contest became known. Before that, 18 participants performed in national clothes, in swimsuits and evening dresses. The jury selected Margarita Sarukhanyan, Armine Atoyan and Sveta Mirzoyan as the best three. All three are from Yerevan.

Margarita Sarukhanyan, the “Miss Armenia 2007,” was handed the crown by Marina Vardanyan who was announced the best during Miss Armenia – 2006 contest. The crown costs $7000. It has 425 diamond stones, 14 ruby and carbuncle. It is made of white gold. Thus, Margarita Sarukhanyan was awarded the right to represent Armenia during “Miss Europe.”
