Park in memories of the Genocide victims in Armenia
A number of events have been scheduled in connection with the 10th anniversary of the Union of Armenians of Russia, Armenian Diaspora Minister Hranush Hakobyan told reporters before singning an agreement with the Pesident of the Union of Armenians of Russia(UAR) Ara Abrahamyan.
UAR President said they have a program of 1500 events, 80-90% of which have been scheduled to be held in Russia, though, Armenia is also due to host large-scale events.
“We should organize a tree-planting at the threshold of the Armenian Genocide anniversary. We have also scheduled a Russian song festival-contest, etc.,” A. Abrahamyan said.
According to H. Hakobyan, a number of events will be conducted in connection with the 95th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, including the conference on “Cultural Genocide” and the exhibition of the Armenian artists on Genocide issue.
H. Hakobyan highlighted that 1,5 mln. trees will be planted by the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide: one tree for each of the genocide victims. The tree-planting will establish a park in memories of the victims.
