At least eight people were killed and 30 others injured on Thursday in a car blast at a market in Russia's North Caucasus city of Vladikavkaz, RIA Novosti said.

"There is a second car that may contain explosives. Evacuation has begun [from the market]," police source said.

The National Anti-terrorism Committee is also warning that there may be other explosive devices in the city, the capital of the republic of North Ossetia.
