Turkish “Tumgazeteler” news website writes some shocking details appeared over Akhtamar’s Holy Church. It turned out that cross may never be put on the top of Holy Church. Turkish side tells during the reconstruction of the church there weren’t talks over the cross and due to some architectural solutions given to the new church cross can never stand on top of it. It was later that the authorities declared of their decision to put cross on it.

“When the decision was to be implemented, certain technical obstacles appeared. The top of the church just can’t hold such a heavy cross. It’s really dangerous,” website writes.
